Hey-- June 3rd

Not much to tell really, it has kind of been a slow week. We did fly to Hawaii for an autograph signing at the Hawaii 50th State Fair. We got in Friday night, by the time we got unpacked it was about 11pm. We were then up Saturday morning at 8am for a radio show interview promoting the State Fair. After that we had about 4 hours to ourselves, my Mom and I went shopping at the mall that was connected to our hotel. Then we were off to the fair, everyone there was so nice the staff, the fans, and I met Asia Crusie. She did a performance at the fair. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbESnTxUJHU

 As Selena closes in on a deal with Hollywood Records, she revealed her musical recording aspirations to Popstar! Magazine:   'I want to start on my album this year, actually. I'm excited. I'm going to do it a little differently than the other Disney Channel stars have done it. I'm going to be in a band. I would like to be in a band. I want to be the female lead singer...   ...and then four guys in a band. Kind of like Paramore. just something a little different, maybe like a girl version of the Jonas Brothers. My musical style is more rock, but i definitely love slow, passionate songs with a Christina Aguilera feel, so it's going to be a mixture of both.'   Selena said that her musical idols are, 'Paramore, for sure, which gave me the inspiration of being in a band. She's [Haley Williams] so confident and she's a girl and she's gotten a lot of stuff for being a girl in a band, but now look at where she is after all that she's gone through. I admire her very much.'
